About this piece

Sea What Bubbles Up is a mixed media piece built on a coastal white hand-painted canvas. Flowing lines of dimensional melted medium are applied by hand, forming an organic pattern drawn from sea foam, bubbles, coral and the shapes that turn up along the water's edge.

The circular openings in that pattern are filled one at a time with glossy resin, which catches the light and gives the surface a glass-like finish. The result is textured and sculptural. No two sections come out the same.
